Deputy Minister Visit Mwanamke Imara Activities Implementation.

On 7^th October 2021, the Mwanamke Imara project team was honored to participate during a field follow up visit on the implementation of project activities that were organized by the Ministry of Health, Community Development, Gender, Elderly, and Children (MoHCDEC). It was attended by the Deputy Minister of Health, Community Development, Gender, Elderly, and Children Hon. Mwanaidi Ally Khamis was accompanied by the Director of the Community Development Department from the Ministry. Together with Rungwe District Commissioner, Rungwe District Executive Director, District security Councils, and other Government officials.

The main aim of the visit was to oversee the implementation of community development activities conducted at Rungwe District where among others, the Deputy Minister was able to oversee the activities implemented under the Mwanamke Imara project at Kiwira secondary school, Rungwe.

The Deputy Minister was briefly informed on Mwanamke Imara project interventions, project partners, and the achievements of the project where she was able to meet with members of the established anti-GBV clubs from Mpandapanda Primary School and Kiwira Secondary School. There was also a brief presentation from identified beneficiaries from economic groups who were able to manufacture liquid soap and mats.
