ESTABLISHMENT AND STRENGTHENING OF CHILD PROTECTION TEAM
WiLDAF has managed to establish and to strengthen Child Protection Team in Kongwa ,Mtwara, Rungwe and Busokelo District under the guidelines of the Ministry of Health Community Development Gender, Elderly and Children (MoHCDGEC) which is to provide a welfare and protection of a child before and after facing Gender based violence. The team for the Child Protection involves the Paralegals, Community Development Officers, Primary and Secondary education Officers, Planning Officers, Prosecutors, Nutrition Officers, Prison Officers, Police Gender desk Officers, Ward Executive Officers, Sheikh, Pastors and Judiciary Officials because in one way or the other the survivor of VAWC has to undergo their assistance in seeking for their rights and protection.
IMPROVED CAPACITY OF GBV SERVICE PROVIDERS
WiLDAF in collaboration with the Ministry of Health Community Development Gender Elderly and Children (MoHCDGEC) through the Reproductive and Child Health Section (RCHS) in Kishapu District, Shinyanga Region, Katavi Regions and Rukwa Regions has built capacity of service providers in responding and preventing of GBV and VAC on the ability to address attitudinal issues and it has ensured comprehensive management of the VAWC survivors.
