The Reason We Keep Pushing Hard
Our Mission
Enhancing women empowerment and equality through law, networking and advocacy in all aspects of development.
Our Vision
A just society that embraces gender equality and women’s rights.
Experience the exciting world of Women in Law and Development in Africa (WiLDAF), a Pan-African network devoted to the passionate empowerment of women throughout the continent. At WiLDAF, we don’t just talk about change — we make it happen.
WiLDAF was established in February 1990 in the vibrant city of Harare, Zimbabwe, at a critical juncture in the UN Decade for Women. The organization’s compelling goal was to combine development and legal approaches to increase the influence and voice of women everywhere. Picture a tapestry of connectivity, linking communities, nations, regions, and the global stage, all with the aim of championing women’s rights and empowerment.
