Communities in Butiama Unite to End GBV, FGM, and Child Marriage

WiLDAF has facilitated community dialogues at Kiagata market, Nyamimange Ward, Butiama District, to strengthen collective action against gender-based violence (GBV), female genital mutilation (FGM), and child marriage.

The sessions brought together women, men, youth, elders, and persons with disabilities, creating a safe space for open conversations on the realities and root causes of violence. Participants not only shared their experiences but also developed practical recommendations and commitments to build a community where women, girls, and persons with disabilities can live free from violence and discrimination.
