WiLDAF Annual General Meeting (AGM) 2026

The Women in Law and Development in Africa (WiLDAF) Annual General Meeting (AGM) provided an important platform for members to review the organization’s progress, discuss key governance and operational matters, and contribute to future plans and strategic decisions. The meeting facilitated reflection on achievements, challenges, and lessons learned during the reporting period while strengthening accountability, transparency, and collective ownership of the organization’s direction.

Members reviewed organizational performance, financial reports, and strategic priorities to ensure continued alignment with WiLDAF’s mission of advancing women’s rights, gender equality, and access to justice. The discussions also focused on strengthening institutional effectiveness and identifying opportunities for growth and impact.

In addition, members explored innovative approaches to enhancing the sustainability of the organization. Discussions highlighted opportunities to leverage the skills and capacities of Adolescent Girls and Young Women (AGYW) who have been trained in entrepreneurship through WiLDAF’s programs. Members reflected on how these young entrepreneurs could be supported to grow their businesses, strengthen their economic resilience, and contribute to broader sustainability efforts, creating a pathway for both economic empowerment and organizational growth.

The active participation and valuable contributions of members enriched the deliberations and informed key resolutions and recommendations aimed at strengthening WiLDAF’s sustainability, effectiveness, and impact in promoting the rights and empowerment of women and girls.
