Stakeholders Conference: Supporting Women in Politics

WiLDAF Tanzania in partnership with National Democratic Institute (NDI) and Friedrich Elbert Stiftung (FES) coordinates “Support Women in Politics.”

The session will be held on 12th and 13th April 2022 from 08:00 A.M at Nashera Hotel in Dodoma City. Will bring together over 50 leaders and practitioners from civil society, political parties, academics, and government of Tanzania officials.

The Support Women in Politics conference has the following objectives:

1. To create a collective platform for relevant stakeholders to discuss and set strategic actions for the improvement of the legal and policy frameworks.
2. To increase stakeholders’ and duty bearers’ commitments to improve legal and institutional frameworks.
3. To ensure women’s full and effective participation and equal opportunities for leadership at all levels of decision-making.

WiLDAF, NDI, and FES believe that the presence of women in significant numbers in elected bodies and decision-making positions can result in more representative, equitable policy outcomes and encourage more women to participate in leadership at all levels.
